This event is for rising 6th-12th graders.

"K. L. Ricks is an illustrator and cartoonist. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, her works has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker and NPR. She lives in Massachusetts.

She is currently writing and illustrating a graphic novel, Naima, to be published by FirstSecond Books in 2022."
