Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers, and other interested Adults are invited to join us on Wednesday, October 26 from 6-8pm for Surviving the IEP (Individualized Education Program), presented by Shannon LeClair. This presentation will discuss the who, what, where, and why of an IEP.  An IEP lays out the special education instruction, supports, and services a student needs to thrive in school. Mrs. LeClair will share important to know laws and terminology, and will touch briefly on IEP file organization. She will share tips that can be applied throughout the IEP process to put parents' minds at ease.  The presentation will last approx. 90 minutes, with 30 minutes at the end of the program for questions.

Shannon LeClair has a professional background in family support, she has worked within the public school system, and is a member of the Leominster SEPAC. First and foremost though, she is a mom with a child on an IEP and understands firsthand the struggle of getting comfortable with IEP documents and the process.

Registration is required and begins 10/19. Please register the names of all Adults attending, so that we can ensure we have the proper number of handouts.
