Decorate a Winter Solstice Lantern and Join Our Winter Solstice Walk!

Children ages 4-12, and their caregivers are each invited to join us on Wednesday, from 5:30-6:30pm or 6:45-7:45pm to decorate a lantern to celebrate the Winter Solstice (the shortest day of the year!) on Wednesday, December 14 at 6pm. Battery operated tea lights will be included for your lantern. The Winter Solstice is on Wednesday, December 21st. On the 21st, we will be taking our new lanterns and meeting (in the parking lot) at the Doyle Conservation Area  (located at 464 Abbott Avenue Leominster, MA) (PLEASE NOTE: This is not at Doyle Field) at 5:30pm for a Winter Solstice Celebration and walk! There will be readings, a campfire with smores, and a wintery walk along lantern lit paths!

Volunteers are need to help with both the set-up and take down of the lanterns for the event. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the North County Land Trust at info@northcountylandtrust.org.

Separate registration is required for both events and begins on 12/7. 

Please register both children and adult names if all are going to decorate a lantern & please register all attendees participating in the Winter Solstice Celebration walk.
