In this course we will examine the fundamental postures, methods of movement, breathing techniques, and perspectives that comprise the basics of Classical Taijiquan (commonly called Tai Chi). For students new to Tai Chi our focus will be on simple one step practices that are the building blocks of the simplest, most basic form of the Wuxing De Long Pai Tai Chi system, called the Short Mirror Form. This form consists of 8 basic movement sequences done to each side of the body. For those who have already completed one course of beginner Tai Chi, we will refine our understanding of this basic form and prepare the student for more advanced study of Tai Chi.
